OffTrail - Offline GPX

OffTrail is offline-first GPX navigation built for adventure motorcyclists and 4×4 riders.
No accounts. No cloud lock-in. No tracking. The app respects your time and your battery; you respect the trail.

Just load a track and ride.

CORE FLOW
• Drop a GPX file from Files, AirDrop, email, or any iOS share sheet.
• The app pre-caches the area around the track over Wi-Fi, so you stay covered when the signal drops.
• Tap Ride. Course-up by default, the rider anchored low, the route always visible. The screen never sleeps. Recording starts itself.
• Drift more than 30 m and a banner shows the distance back, with a dashed line to the closest re-entry point.

UP TO FIVE TRACKS AT ONCE
Stack five GPX tracks on the map, each in its own slot color. Hide one, swap one in, or ride them all. The HUD locks onto whichever track is nearest, with hysteresis to prevent flickering on parallel routes.

OFFLINE-FIRST MAPS
• Download whole countries (Portugal, Spain — more coming) before you leave. Each one shows its size on disk and how old the cache is, so you can manage storage without leaving the app.
• Semantic off-road styling: forestry tracks rendered in brown with tracktype-graded dashes, paths in grey, cycleway / footway / bridleway faded so the urban-fringe map doesn't drown the actual ridable network.
• Optional Satellite (Esri World Imagery, online-only). Auto-falls back to Off-road when the network drops.

GROUP RIDE (OPT-IN)
Lead a ride? Show a QR code; riders scan it, and everyone's initials drop on the map in real time via Apple iCloud. No accounts on top of the iCloud you already have, no server we run, up to 8 riders.

ALWAYS-ON RECORDING
Recording auto-starts when you open the app and survives screen-lock. GPX out at the end. The last 30 days live in your phone, never in the cloud.

SETTINGS THAT RESPECT YOU
Metric / imperial toggle. Three languages (EN / PT / ES). Rider display name. Reset onboarding. Storage summary that lets you wipe recordings without nuking the app.

PRIVACY
No accounts. No analytics. No third-party SDKs. The only data that ever leaves the device is opt-in: live location during a Group ride session (over Apple iCloud) and basemap tile requests when you have a network connection. Read the full privacy policy at https://offtrailapp.com/privacy.

OffTrail is free with no plans to introduce paid tiers.

• iPhone running iOS 16 or later.
• Wi-Fi or cellular for downloading offline maps and using the group ride.
