Dear Parents: To start this adventure it is important to know what a premature child is, but don't worry, it is not complicated at all, you simply have to know that a premature child is one who is born between 22 and 37 weeks of pregnancy, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO). On the other hand, you should know that there is a classification of prematurity, which is: 
Extremely premature: <28 weeks gestational age
Very premature: between week 28 - 32
Moderate or late preterm: from week 32 to 37

Based on the above, we invite you to find out what week your child was born and what classification he or she is in.
After you know what classification your child is in, don't worry, it is important to keep in mind that your child will not be premature forever, since, over time, he or she will gain weeks of gestational age, weight and abilities."
