Ember: Matchstick Math Puzzle

Ember is a matchstick puzzle game about numbers. You get an equation built
from matches, and the equation is wrong. Move one match and make it right.

8 + 3 = 5 is false. Move a single stick and it becomes 9 + 3 = 12. That is the
whole game — you will understand it in ten seconds and still be solving an
hour later.

shows you its alphabet before your first puzzle, so you never lose a move to a
misunderstanding.

➕ PLUS, MINUS AND TIMES
Take the upright out of a plus and you are left with a minus, holding a spare
stick. Trade two and a plus becomes a times sign. The operators are made of
matches too — and that is half the math puzzle.
