WikiHandbook Lite

WikiHandbook can be used as an alternative to traditional illustrated handbooks. It covers birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and insects (currently, only birds are available).

You do not need an internet connection while browsing, nor do you need to decompress files. All text, images, and sounds have already been converted, compressed, and packaged. They can be downloaded to your phone in a single step, eliminating the need to manually download thousands of individual pages. This saves both your time and your device’s storage space.

The species coverage in this app is more comprehensive than that of any other electronic illustrated handbook. It supports full-text search, allowing you to quickly locate target species. The app is highly portable and suitable for field use, as it is not limited by mobile network availability.

When using the app, you can browse species by taxonomic class or by name. All species are displayed in organized menus, so you do not need to memorize names to find them. You can also search by keywords, with results shown directly in the menu.

All data used in this app comes from Wikipedia. The app itself and the data packages are provided separately; users need to download both before use.
