User Reviews

Nirvana for GTD is lauded for its GTD-centric design, clean UI, speed, and flexible organization with good syncing and a generous free tier. However, multiple reviews cite key Android gaps: no home-screen widgets, lack of on-device reminders/time-tracking, and limited sharing or bulk import capabilities. Update-induced issues (areas converting to tags) and billing concerns (trial charges) recur as notable downsides. Despite these, many users remain loyal, considering it a top GTD tool when its feature gaps are acceptable.
Pros
  • Strong GTD-focused design with robust task/project/reminder/reference-list structure
  • Simple, clean, intuitive UI that keeps focus on getting things done
  • Lightweight and fast, prioritizing essential GTD features without bloat
  • Flexible organization with filters (effort, context) and clear distinctions between scheduled and due dates, plus solid cross-device syncing
  • Generous free tier with fairly priced Pro options and overall reliability praised by long-time users
Cons
  • No Android widgets for quick inbox/focus access on the home screen
  • Missing or unreliable reminders/alarms on mobile and limited time-tracking/calendar capabilities
  • Billing and subscription issues (charged free trials, unclear pricing)
  • Update-related reliability problems (areas getting converted to tags or other GTD elements after updates)
  • Limitations around sharing/inbox integration and bulk imports (unable to share items to inbox or import large lists)

The latest pulldown to search UX clashing with the pulldown to refresh. The search for tags/labels was more straightforward. Just tap the search box to start search. Now you have to pull down first to see the search box. The prior version also aware about the current filtered tags and retain it when create a new item. Now you have to re-add the tags manually. This new version looks prettier but is a big downgrade in terms of usability. Doing the same things required more steps.

I enjoy the clean interface, great customisability - yet it is really simple to use. I've been using premium for years.
