NiosPDF: Offline PDF Editor

NiosPDF is an offline PDF workspace for Android. Read a document, edit its text, mark up a page, fill a form and organise your files in one app.

No account or subscription is required. There are no ads and no added watermarks. Your everyday PDF work happens on your device.

READ AND FIND
• Open PDFs with progressive page loading.
• Search within a document, use its outline and jump between pages.
• Switch to night reading, reflow text or listen with read aloud.
• Find documents by name or indexed text in your library, and star favourites.

EDIT AND ANNOTATE
• Change existing page text or add text. Supported paragraphs can reflow.
• Add, move, resize, replace or remove pictures.
• Draw with a pen or highlighter, add shapes, and leave notes.
• Highlight, underline, strike through or squiggle selected text.
• Redact sensitive areas, with confirmation before applying permanent removal.
• Undo and redo edits, then save or discard your changes.

FILL AND SIGN
• Fill PDF form fields and place text or ticks on a page.
• Draw, type or import a signature and keep it for reuse.
• Move and resize a placed signature.
• Inspect digital signatures and certificate details. A handwritten signature and a certificate-based digital signature are different features.

ORGANISE AND FINISH
• Reorder, rotate, insert, duplicate, extract or delete pages.
• Merge PDFs, split a document or compress it.
• Add watermarks and page numbers, edit document properties, and set passwords and permissions.
• Compare documents and run supported tools over multiple PDFs.
• Share or print from your device.

SCAN AND CONVERT
• Scan paper with the camera on supported devices.
• Recognise text on device and make scanned PDFs searchable.
• Latin OCR is bundled. Additional supported script models download when needed.
• Create PDFs from pictures, text and supported Office documents.
• Export PDFs to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, pictures, plain text, HTML, Markdown or CSV.
• Conversion results depend on the source document; complex layouts and fonts may differ.

OPTIONAL ON-DEVICE AI
• Download a compatible model to summarise a document or ask questions about it.
• Explain or simplify selected text and suggest document properties, titles and tags.
• Optional smart-search models help the assistant find relevant passages within a document.
• AI is off until you enable it. Models require storage, an initial internet download and a device with enough memory.
• AI can make mistakes. Check answers and cited pages against the original.

MADE FOR YOUR SCREEN
Use the phone layout or a wider layout with a navigation rail on tablets and large windows. Light and dark themes are available.

OFFLINE WHEN YOU NEED IT
PDF reading and editing work offline. Scanner components, additional OCR or translation languages, and optional AI models may need downloads before first use. Read-aloud voices depend on your device. Downloads and external links need a connection.

Some PDFs restrict editing. Text changes depend on the fonts and structure in the file. Keep a backup before applying permanent redaction.

An optional support link in Settings opens in your browser. It does not unlock features.
