Nihongo Forge: Speak Japanese

NihongoForge — speak Japanese when it actually counts.

Not flashcards. NihongoForge puts you in the restaurant, at the ticket gate, at the pharmacy counter — and has you say the line out loud, from the very first minute. It is built for one thing: the spoken Japanese you'll actually need on a real trip to Japan.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Every scenario is built around one place you'll stand in, one thing you need, and the Japanese that gets you through it — including when the answer isn't the one you rehearsed:

• Restaurants & izakaya — order, ask what's in a dish, declare an allergy so it's taken seriously, and pay.
• Trains & subways — buy the right ticket, confirm the platform, and handle a delay or a wrong line.
• Hotels & check-in — check in, arrive late, ask for what's missing, and report a problem with your room.
• Konbini & shopping — pay, decline the bag, ask where something is, and understand the register questions.
• Directions & lost items — ask for help, and (harder) understand the answer at the speed it's really spoken.
• Getting help — illness, allergies, emergencies: clear, polite, and unmistakable when it matters most.

HOW IT WORKS — four steps, every phrase
1. Hear it where it belongs. Every phrase arrives inside the situation that needs it, with native audio at normal speed and a slower pass at about three-quarters pace.
2. Build it — don't memorize it. You assemble the sentence piece by piece and see what each particle is doing, so you can bend the phrase when the situation changes.
3. Say it out loud. Shadow the native line into your microphone. On-device speech recognition checks what it heard and tells you which word dropped — not just pass or fail.
4. Hold the whole exchange. Role-play the full conversation with a Japanese speaker who doesn't slow down for you. Then it returns on a review schedule so it sticks.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Speech recognition runs entirely on your phone. Nothing you say is uploaded or stored as audio.
• No account, ever. No sign-up, no email, no password — install it and start talking.
• No tracking. No analytics, no ads, no third-party SDKs. Your progress stays on your device.

For travelers, students, and anyone heading to Japan who wants to be understood — not just to recognize words on a screen. For ages 13 and up.

Come say something.
