Forest Fire Trainer – The Learning and Quiz App for Vegetation Fire Fighting
With the Forest Fire Trainer app, you'll gain in-depth basic knowledge about vegetation fires – compact, understandable, and mobile. Developed for emergency personnel from fire departments, disaster relief agencies, and aid organizations. The idea was born out of volunteerism and the desire to make modern learning accessible to all emergency personnel.
The free app is an interactive learning tool with a quiz-like style for German emergency personnel. Each round consists of seven questions, each with three possible answers. After each answer, you'll receive not only feedback ("right" or "wrong"), but also a short, understandable explanation of the correct solution. The content builds on each other and gradually provides you with a solid understanding of the basics.

The app currently includes over 170 questions on key topics such as:
• Safety and hazard assessment
• Technical terms and operational principles
• Tactical basics
• Personal protective equipment
The content is based on the current recommendations of the UAG Training of the state-wide working group on national forest fire protection (as of 2025).
A simple registration is required to use the app.
