User Reviews
Pros
- When it works, the ePaper provides a good reading experience similar to the physical newspaper.
- The app is generally easy to navigate and appeals to users familiar with traditional newspapers.
- Access to local news and quick updates on the phone is appreciated.
- Ability to read the paper edition remotely, especially useful for subscribers away from home.
- Some users find it simpler and better than other digital newspaper apps like PressReader.
Cons
- The app is often unreliable with frequent crashing and issues downloading current editions.
- Navigation and readability problems, including issues with accessing full articles and inconsistent text view functionality.
- Lack of useful features such as a search function, bookmarking articles, and access to puzzles.
- Requirement to also have a physical paper subscription to access digital content frustrates users.
- Poor or unhelpful customer support and sign-in difficulties even with valid subscriptions.

Dropping stars because issues are sometimes unreadable (Continue Reading is too granular and Redownload paper is broken. "Support" is no help. Yes I'm on the latest update. No, reinstalling does not help. Just escalate to someone with a clue already. Whrn it does work, the Star's ePaper is an excellent reader. The best. When it doesn't, it's frustrating and you will not get the help you need to resolve it.

Somewhat unreliable as it doesn't always download, and sometimes doesn't have the "blue headlines". The overall interface is good though. Could use links to full stories, which are available on the Star website version. Could use a search function, especially for all saved issues. And it's a good, authoritative newspaper, so we'll worth living with any glitches.
