NeuroAlarm – No Escape Alarm

By: JK Codes App
Heavy sleeper alarm: walk, scan or solve to stop it. 20 challenges, no tracking.

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Alarm clock for heavy sleepers: it keeps ringing until you complete a real wake-up challenge. Walk 100 metres. Climb stairs. Scan a QR code in another room. Solve maths. No ads, no account, no tracking.

You hit snooze. Again. You wake up an hour late, groggy and behind – exactly like yesterday. NeuroAlarm ends that. The challenge is the off-switch, and there is no shortcut around it.

HOW IT WORKS
Set the alarm, pick a challenge, set the difficulty. When it fires, the ring screen takes over – even on a locked phone – and stays until the challenge is done. Snooze is rationed: 2 by default, each one shorter than the last, then none. Set it to 0 if you mean it. Emergency Wake Mode forces full volume with no snooze at all.

20 WAKE-UP CHALLENGES

Get out of bed (sensor-verified):
• Steps – walk 20 to 500 steps, counted by the step sensor
• Walk – 50 to 500 m outdoors, GPS-verified, fake-location detection
• Run – 500 to 3,000 m with a pace check
• Stair Climb – real altitude gain from the barometer; lifts don't count (needs a barometer)
• Squats – reps counted by the motion sensor

Camera and voice:
• Photo – point the camera at a real object, say your kettle or front door; recognition runs on the phone, nothing is uploaded
• QR scan – tape a code to the bathroom mirror; the off-switch lives in another room
• Voice – out-shout your alarm for 5 to 15 seconds

Brain on (easy to brutal):
• Maths • Memory sequence • Stroop colour test • Number Stroop • Arrow Flanker • Pattern • Anagram • Captcha typing • Trivia • Reaction time • Mini Sudoku
• Calm breathing – a timed box-breathing round for gentler mornings

Chain two challenges back to back with Compound alarms. Set each one's difficulty. Make oversleeping genuinely inconvenient.

BUILT TO NOT BE BEATEN
• Survives reboots and power-off, and fires on a fully locked screen
• Optional uninstall lock stops a half-asleep you from deleting the app
• Emergency Dismiss exists, but you must type out a randomised "I choose to waste my morning" phrase by hand, and it is logged as a surrender – it never counts as a wake

ACTUALLY PRIVATE
No ads. No account. No email. No analytics SDK. No tracking. Photo recognition runs on the phone. Nothing leaves your device for solo use – the Data safety label says "No data collected", and it's true.

Internet is used only for the optional Pro subscription (billed by Google Play) and the optional Wake Squad feature.

WAKE SQUAD – ACCOUNTABILITY ALARMS (PRO)
Pair with a friend or a small group. Your squad sees when your alarm fires and when you dismiss it. Oversleep, and a server-side dead-man's switch nudges your partner automatically – nothing to open on their end. Shared streaks keep everyone honest. No email required; anonymous if you want it.

MORE IN PRO
• Wake Insights – weekly wake report, trends, weekday breakdown, chronotype fit, CSV export (headline stats are free)
• 30-Day Wake Reset – a structured programme scored from real challenge wakes, not tick-boxes (Day 1 is free)
• Smart Wake – watches for light sleep in the 30 minutes before your alarm and rings early when you're already stirring
• Sunrise simulation, a 15-track ambient library, three voice packs (Calm Coach, Drill Sergeant, ASMR Whisper), premium haptics and themes
• Optional Health Connect sleep logging, on-device

FREE vs PRO
Free: Quick Alarm – a clean, reliable, tap-to-dismiss alarm clock with no ads, ever.
Pro: all 20 challenges, compound alarms, Wake Squad and everything above. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, then one monthly subscription managed by Google Play – cancel any time, including during the trial.

NOT FOR EVERYONE
If you want an alarm you can dismiss in two taps, use Quick Alarm and stop reading.

If you are done oversleeping and want an alarm that does not let you off the hook – a challenge alarm for heavy sleepers, no snooze escape, no ads – install NeuroAlarm.
