goGPS Drive

goGPS Drive turns your Android phone into a dash cam, GPS route recorder, offline map, and remote monitoring device. Manage driving videos, routes, and security camera devices from one app.

DASH CAM & SMART RECORDING

Record with the front or rear camera. If supported, use both cameras simultaneously. Loop recording splits videos into shorter segments, while storage settings manage older, unprotected recordings. Adjust video quality, FPS, segment duration, and motion sensitivity. Automatically save completed recordings to your gallery.

Audio is not recorded in driving or motion videos.

GPS TRACKING & OFFLINE MAPS

Record your location, route, speed, distance, and duration without an internet connection. With the required Android permissions, GPS recording can continue in the background. Review routes and driving statistics on offline maps. Open GPX/KML files and export routes as KML. Speed-threshold and geofence events can also be recorded.

REMOTE MOTION DETECTION

Turn an old phone into a Security Camera and use your everyday phone as the Main Phone. Motion videos are uploaded to the goGPS/MotionAlert folder in Google Drive. The Main Phone sends notifications and automatically downloads videos to the app's Video Gallery. Choose instant, 5, 10, or 30-minute, or 1-hour notification intervals.

Use Security Camera, Main Phone, or Both mode. Both mode allows a device to record while monitoring alerts from other cameras.

LIVE VIEW + PUSH-TO-TALK

Live-view the front or rear camera of a paired goGPS device, switch cameras remotely, and select streaming quality. Hold the button on the Main Phone to send one-way live audio to the Security Camera.

Live video and Push-to-Talk audio are securely encrypted. Live sessions do not create video or audio files. The Security Camera's microphone is not activated, and ambient audio is not sent to the Main Phone.

REMOTE DEVICE STATUS & SECURITY

View connection, app version, battery and charging status, temperature, storage, camera, GPS, latest recording, and Drive status. Security-code pairing, key-change alerts, access history, and instant blocking provide extra protection.

ACCIDENT & EVIDENCE FEATURES

When a possible accident is detected, active recordings can be protected from normal cleanup. Location Copy creates a separate MP4 showing speed, date, and coordinates without changing the original. If Drive is enabled, accident videos can be uploaded to goGPS/accidentlock.

GOOGLE DRIVE BACKUP

Optional Google Drive integration can upload camera, accident, and selected GPS recordings to goGPS folders. Manage upload intervals and retention settings. Cleaning Drive files does not delete local recordings, and integration can be disabled anytime.

PRIVACY & REQUIREMENTS

Recordings remain on your device by default and are not uploaded when Drive integration is disabled. Location data is not used for advertising or analytics and is not sold. If weather is enabled, coordinates may be sent to Open-Meteo for temperature information. During navigation, location and destination may be sent to the selected map service.

Remote features require internet, the same Google Drive account, and security-code pairing. During Live View, the goGPS camera screen must remain open on the Security Camera. Some features depend on device compatibility.

The first 30 days include full access. After that, the free plan includes 20 minutes of GPS and 20 minutes of camera recording per day. Premium is required for unlimited recording and remote features.
