Neon Ascent

Neon Ascent is a sleek, fast one-thumb arcade climber set in a dark cyberpunk megacity at night.

A glowing neon climber clings to a platform at the base of a towering data-tower while a rising flood of luminous liquid data -- an electric magenta-cyan datafall with a bright crest -- creeps up from below. Glass platforms lit with neon rims zig-zag upward into the night skyline. HOLD the LEFT half of the screen to charge a leap up-and-left, HOLD the RIGHT half to charge up-and-right -- a cyclic power gauge fills while you hold, so dose the charge to reach the next platform. Drag your thumb to re-aim mid-charge, line the glowing grid dots up with the ledge, then release to leap. Land dead-centre for a PERFECT and bonus points; leap short or long and you plunge past into the flood below.

The catch: the neon flood never stops rising. Linger too long and it surges into you and overloads your circuits, so every ascent is a race upward. Taller towers raise the datafall faster and stack trickier terrain -- platforms that slide side-to-side and unstable ones that glitch out a heartbeat after you land, forcing you to leap on before the grid flickers away. Glowing uplink nodes float above some platforms; grab them on your way up for extra score. Climb the platforms each tower demands to top out, then chase a brighter best score on every one.
