Translation and flashcards run on Google ML Kit on your device;
summaries use an on-device algorithm. No book text, highlight or note
is sent to a Nature+ server, because there isn't one. Heavy AI jobs
wait for a charger, so your battery is never the price.

READ ALOUD (TTS), FREE AND UNLIMITED
Text-to-speech through your phone's own speech engine — every voice you
can install — with speed control, live word highlighting, a sleep
timer, and hands-free page turns using front-camera face detection.
Network voices send the text being read to your speech engine's vendor;
choose an on-device voice to keep everything local.

BUILT FOR STUDYING
Highlight and underline in six colours, sticky notes with tags, a
pencil drawing overlay, bookmarks and quotes — all free. Pomodoro
timer, daily reading goals, streaks and stats, reading lists,
automatic collections, and browse by author.

Search is relevance-ranked rather than exact-match, and works across
Indic, Arabic, Cyrillic and European scripts.

EASY ON THE EYES
Seven built-in themes, or your own photo as a background in Pro. Smart
dark mode, blue-light filter, extra-dim, eye-strain reminders. PDF
thumbnails, auto-crop, focus mode, vertical scroll, dual-page on
tablets, and split dual-column mode for two-column research papers.
