■ No Internet

After installation, everything is on the device: search, lists, biographies, badges. No page waits for the network. The only exception is listening to the reading, whose audio file remains on the disk.

The first time it takes about two minutes to prepare the disk and requires about 750 MB of free space. Once, forever.

■ Search that forgives spelling

Type "Khawaja", "Khawaja" is also found. Arabic and Persian are considered the same — ي and ي, ك and ك, أ and إ and ا — and Arab and خطان are ignored. Results return with the exact word you searched for, highlighted.

■ Poets, not just poems

Biographies of 233 poets out of 234 poets, and 207 images that come with the program and do not require a network. For each poet, a verse of his own.

■ Reading

30,484 readings with 656,312 line-by-line timings, so the text moves with the audio. Playback continues in the background and has controls on the lock screen. (This section requires internet.)

■ Reading

The text is typeset in Nastaliq Noto script, and the size, line spacing, and column width are in your hands. The table — the Madhhab box of manuscripts — is drawn around today's verse and in a few other places, not around each card.

Today's verse, Hafez's fortune, browsing by weight (164 weights that have a verse), bookmarking, and "continue reading" where you left off.

The texts are taken from Ganjoor (ganjoor.net) — the result of years of volunteer work. Chame is an independent program and is not made or supported by Ganjoor; for problems with the program, contact the developer of Chame, not Ganjoor.
