Naowa

The Nigerian Army Officers' Wives Association (NAOWA) is one of Nigeria's foremost humanitarian organizations, established by the wives of Nigerian Army officers with a mission to serve humanity and improve the welfare of communities across the country. Originating in the 1950s as the Army Wives Association (AWA), the organization evolved into NAOWA in 1963 and has since grown into a powerful force for social development and community transformation.
Driven by the principles of unity, compassion, and service, NAOWA focuses on education, healthcare, women and youth empowerment, skills acquisition, humanitarian interventions, and support for vulnerable groups. Through its various programs, the association has established schools, healthcare facilities, vocational training centers, daycare centers, and community development projects that have positively impacted thousands of beneficiaries nationwide.
