Mock Location: Fake GPS

Mock Location sets a fake GPS location on your Android phone, so you can test location-based apps without leaving your desk. Search for an address or tap anywhere on the map, tap "Set location here", and your device reports that spot until you stop.

HOW IT WORKS
• Search any address, or tap the map to drop a pin
• Tap "Set location here" to start the mock location
• Move the mock to a new spot at any time
• Stop mocking from the app or the notification and you're back to your real GPS location

SYSTEM-WIDE LOCATION
Mock Location uses Android's official mock location setting and feeds the GPS, network and fused location providers, so other apps on your device see the new position, not just this one. A notification keeps the location active in the background until you stop it.

SAVED PLACES
Star the places you test most often and switch between them in one tap. Saved places are stored only on your device.

GUIDED SETUP
Android only lets one app change your location, and you pick it by hand in Developer options. The built-in setup guide walks you through it step by step and shows when everything is ready. It takes about a minute.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No account, no sign-in
• No analytics: the app doesn't track how you use it or which places you mock
• Saved places never leave your device
• Crash reports never include your location or your searches

GOOD TO KNOW
Some apps detect mock locations and ignore them. Others remember your last real location; force-stop them and reopen after you start mocking. On some phones the mock location setting resets after a reboot; the setup screen shows when that happens.
