PDF One: Scan, Compress, Merge

PDF One is a complete PDF toolkit that runs entirely on your phone. No account, no sign-up, and no upload — your documents never leave the device, because there is no server to send them to.

WHAT IT DOES

• Scan documents — point the camera at a page and get a clean PDF, with automatic edge detection and cropping. Add more pages to the same document whenever you like.

• Compress PDFs — pick the size you actually need (500 KB, 1 MB, 5 MB, or type your own) and PDF One works down to it. A 21 MB scan can come out under 700 KB.

• Merge PDFs — combine any number of files into one, and drag them into the order you want first.

• Edit pages — rotate, delete, extract and reorder pages, with a thumbnail of every page so you can see exactly what you are changing before you save.

• Fill & Sign — draw your signature with a finger or stylus, then place and resize it anywhere on the page.

• Images to PDF — turn photos or screenshots into a document, fitted to A4 or kept at the image's own size.

• PDF to images — export any page as a JPG or PNG, at the resolution you choose.

PRIVACY IS THE POINT

Most PDF apps upload your file to a server and process it there. PDF One does not. Every operation runs on your device using a PDF engine built into the app, so:

• Your contracts, invoices, ID scans and medical records stay yours.
• It works on a plane, on the underground, and on a prepaid SIM with no data left.
• There is nothing for a data breach to leak, because nothing is stored anywhere but your phone.

The app requests no camera permission (scanning runs inside Google Play services) and no storage permission (you pick each file yourself, and the app sees only that file).

FILES YOU CAN TRUST

Editing never overwrites your original. Every tool writes a new file, and nothing is saved anywhere permanent until you tap Save and choose where it goes — or Share it straight to another app.

FREE, WITH AN OPTIONAL UPGRADE

PDF One is free and supported by ads. Full-screen ads appear at most once every few minutes, and only after a job finishes — never in the middle of your work, and never over the camera or the file picker.

If you would rather not see them, Remove Ads is a one-time purchase. Not a subscription: nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel. Every feature works exactly the same either way — buying removes ads and nothing else.

PDF One is built on pdfium, the BSD-licensed PDF engine that also powers Chrome's PDF viewer. Full licence texts for it and every library it uses are inside the app, under the menu.
