User Reviews

My Signing Time offers excellent educational content for children and the hearing impaired to learn ASL, with engaging videos that support language development. Families and users appreciate the app's diverse series, offline viewing, and overall usefulness in facilitating communication. However, multiple reviews highlight serious technical problems including casting and streaming issues, confusion navigating the interface, and a poorly received platform update. Subscription and cancellation difficulties are common complaints. Despite its valuable content, users are frustrated by app stability, organization, and customer support concerns.

Pros

The content is highly educational, effective, and beneficial for children and individuals of all ages, including those who are deaf or non-verbal.
The app promotes language development and communication skills through American Sign Language (ASL) in a fun and engaging way.
Offline download functionality helps users enjoy the content anytime, even with limited internet access.
The app offers multiple series and a variety of signing programs, suitable for different age groups.
Users appreciate the family-friendly nature of the app and find it valuable for learning and practicing sign language together.

Cons

The app has significant technical issues with casting and compatibility, especially with Chromecast, Samsung TV, and other casting devices.
Navigation and user interface are confusing and complicated; content organization is poor with scattered series and playlists making it difficult to find specific episodes.
The new platform update is unpopular; users report bugs, frequent freezing, dropped frames, frequent sign-in problems, and loss of previously available features like music tracks.
Cancellation and subscription management is problematic, with users struggling to cancel and experiencing continued billing despite attempts to stop.
Some users find the price too high given repetitive content and difficulty accessing all features due to app issues.

Recent reviews

App is terrible. When I cast to my TV I cannot change the program that we're watching. For example, I can't switch to Tree Schoolers after starting Baby Signing Time. It also won't disconnect from casting unless I completely uninstall the app and redownload. So currently, on my phone I cannot watch anything because it thinks it is casting to my TV but it's not. I paid for a year subscription with curriculum and it is not worth the money. I love Signing Time but this app is a joke.

I had issues with my subscription, but it was eventually resolved. My daughter is 19mths, and has learned so much. I set it on when she's in her playroom. she signs, and I've had to find it because I didn't know it. That's been haplening more & more. She's getting better control of her hands, and signs much better than before! I love this app for her!
