About the App

TbConnect App is aimed to assist health workers in the care continuum of patients with Tuberculosis. The TbConnect app is a companion app that allows health workers to create patient profiles, register them for a diagnostic test, and generate reports of the test result. The app then syncs the data to the Government of India database of Tb patients called Nikshay. The app also allows health workers to access digital content to train themselves for the administration of tests.

Key Features of the app include

- Dashboard to display the count of cases and their split during a time frame.

- Training material for health care workers to get trained on diagnostic and care methods

- Competency assessment to take quizzes to assess the proficiency of health care worker

- Modules to create new Patient Profiles/access old Patient profiles in case of recurring infection

- Modules to conduct a Cy-TB test as a companion app and record their induration

- Module to generate reports which can be shared with the Nikshay portal of Govt of India and with patient


Why This App is Needed

The app is needed by healthcare workers to access training material easily. It allows healthcare workers to create customer profiles digitally which makes the data tabulation faster and patients can get started with care faster. Healthcare workers can also get assistance in recording the process of, and results of the tuberculosis diagnostics and care.
