MyDesktopWidget Companion is two things in one app, and the first one needs no PC at all.

A HOME SCREEN MADE OF LIVE WIDGETS

Replace your home screen with one built from real, moving widgets instead of static icons. Clocks that tick, battery meters that fill, and boards you can actually tap — a to-do list, a shopping list, a habit tracker, a pomodoro timer, a sticky note.

A SECOND SCREEN FOR YOUR WINDOWS PC

If you run MyDesktopWidget on a Windows PC, pair the two over your own Wi-Fi and the phone becomes a live readout of that machine.

• Live processor, memory and disk readings, updating as they change
• The same widget designs your desktop runs — not a separate app with a different look
• Play, pause, skip and stop the music on your PC, and join your next meeting
• Copy widget designs from your PC to your phone

Pairing is six digits typed off your PC's screen. The connection is encrypted and checked against the PC you paired with, and it never leaves your own network.

PRIVACY

No account. No advertising. No analytics. There is no server of ours, because there is nothing for one to do: your phone talks to your PC on your own network and to nothing else. Nothing is collected, nothing is shared, and uninstalling removes all of it.

WHAT YOU NEED

The home screen works on the phone alone. The PC half needs MyDesktopWidget running on a Windows PC on the same network. Android 8.0 or newer.
