My Jump 2: Measure your jump

The most scientifically validated app to measure your jumps

Features & Capabilities

My Jump 2 is a pioneering app scientifically developed to measure vertical jump height with accuracy comparable to expensive force platforms. Users record or import jump videos and select takeoff and landing points for precise calculations.

The app offers advanced metrics such as jump height, flight time, velocity, force, power, contact time, vertical stiffness, and reactive strength index (RSI). It includes the innovative Force-Velocity profile analysis using Samozino's method, enabling athletes to identify if they should focus on force or velocity to improve explosive performance. Featuring multi-user support, detailed history tracking, easy data export, and social sharing, My Jump 2 provides a comprehensive jump analysis platform right at your fingertips. Note that My Jump 2 has been succeeded by the enhanced My Jump Lab app with improved features.

User Reviews

While "My Jump 2: Measure your jump" offers valuable performance tracking and useful jump data for athletes, multiple users report significant stability issues such as crashes during slow motion video imports, inability to upload pre-recorded videos, and inaccurate measurement results. Some users also express frustration with the payment system and forced transition to alternative apps. Despite its potential and responsive support, current reliability and feature limitations reduce the app's overall effectiveness for many users.
Pros
  • Provides useful data for athletes to track and improve jump performance.
  • Good concept and offers valuable metrics like vertical jump height and peak power.
  • Developer is responsive and provides helpful support in some cases.
  • When it works properly, the app delivers reliable data and is the best jump app available according to some users.
Cons
  • Frequent app crashes when importing or processing slow motion videos, especially on certain phones like Pixel and OnePlus.
  • Inability to upload or select pre-recorded slow motion videos within the app; only photos can be selected, limiting usability.
  • Issues with app stability and reliability including repeated results, inaccurate data, and unexpected shutdowns.
  • Confusing payment model, with some users being asked to pay twice or redirected to a free version without clear advertisement.
  • Limited functionality for force-velocity profiling and inaccurate presentation of some metrics, conflicting with advertised features.

I just paid $17 for this app. I open it up and tells me to download a different app that is free. I want my money back on this please. I love the idea and concept but if you give me a better version that is free, you should advertise that when people download this app.

It seems like a great app. I used to use the older version too. Desite paying to be able to use 'my jump 2', for some reason the app doesn't let me use any features and is asking me to pay again!
