FieldMove

FieldMove is a powerful geological field mapping app optimized for touchscreen tablets. It features a map-centric interface with tools for creating geological boundaries, fault traces, and polygons representing rock distributions. Users can leverage online Mapbox™ maps or import geo-referenced basemaps like MBTile and GeoTIFF for offline work.

The app integrates digital compass clinometer and bearing compass functions using tablet sensors, enabling precise measurement and recording of planar and linear geological features. FieldMove supports capturing geo-referenced notes, photos, and screenshots, and includes a library of geological symbols for stereonet plotting and analysis. Collected data and digitized linework are fully geo-referenced and easily exported in Move™, CSV, or KMZ formats for further modeling and analysis.
