Forest Forager

Forest Forager is a hidden object mobile game for Android, built with Flutter and Dart. The app is English-only, portrait-oriented, and designed for smooth 60 FPS animations. Players explore a detailed forest scene and tap on mushrooms or berries that match the target shown at the top of the screen.

The theme combines mushrooms (red fly agaric, porcini, chanterelle, morel, oyster mushroom) and berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries, blackberries) in a natural woodland setting. The game features 10 levels with increasing difficulty: more objects on screen, similar-looking items, darker lighting, and smaller target sizes. Each level requires finding all listed items before completion.

Correct taps trigger a soft glow and leaf-particle animation; wrong taps produce a gentle shake and fade effect. The forest background uses parallax layers—distant trees, midground bushes, foreground grass—with moss, fallen leaves, tree roots, sunlight rays, and subtle fog for depth. The app includes a home screen with an animated forest background and floating leaves, plus four main sections: Start Foraging, Levels, Achievements, and Forest Guide. A bottom navigation bar with these four tabs appears across all screens. Level completion shows a "Forest Cleared" dialog with items found, time spent, and accuracy, plus buttons for Next Forest and Choose Level.

Progress is stored locally using Hive (no SharedPreferences), saving completed levels, best times, and accuracy stats. The Forest Guide provides 6–8 articles on edible vs poisonous mushrooms, berry types, forest ecosystems, and safe foraging tips, each with images. Achievements include Mushroom Spotter, Berry Picker, Forest Explorer, Quick Forager, and Master Collector.

A single onboarding screen explains how to find items and tap mechanics, shown only on first launch. The visual style uses a hand-painted look with a calm, cozy atmosphere: moss green, earth brown, berry red, soft sunlight yellow, and natural shadows. The project follows clean architecture with folders for screens, widgets, game, models, storage, services, and utils. Objects are displayed as emoji-style icons (🍄🫐🍓🍇🍒) for a friendly, approachable feel.
