THE RATING TEST
Pick a level. The app generates ten run-out layouts. Set each one up on your table, play it once, and log whether you ran out. Ten tables later you have a score, a rating from 0 to 100, and a tier from Rookie to Master.

One attempt per table. No retries, no skips. That is what makes the number worth having.

RANDOM, BUT COMPARABLE
Every other skill test hands you the same fixed layouts, so you can practise the answers. Runout Rank generates every test randomly — you cannot anticipate a table. But the tests are seeded, which means Level 3 Test #12 is the identical ten tables for everyone who takes it. Send someone your score and they can take exactly the same test.

SIX LEVELS
1. Rookie — 2 balls, ball in hand, spread out
2. Regular — 3 balls, ball in hand
3. League — 4 balls, ball in hand
4. Competitor — 5 balls, ball in hand
5. Advanced — 5 balls, cue ball where it lands
6. Master — 5 balls, cue ball placed, blockers in the way

Test any level you like. Nothing is locked — a strong player should not have to grind through Rookie before the app can tell them anything.

THEN CLOSE THE GAP
Your result names your edge: the level that beats you. Practise there and the app tracks your rolling run-out rate at that level, so you can see whether practice is actually working before you spend another test on it.
