MunichWays Fahrrad-Karte

The MunichWays bike app is a great thing if you want to find the right bike route through Munich for you.

The app shows you green cycling routes that are wide, safe and flat. And it shows you red and black bike routes with many intersections and missing bike paths in and around Munich.
Attach your smartphone to the handlebar mount, switch on the MunichWays app and off you go! You can see exactly where comfortable bike connections can be found in Munich and which stressful bike routes you can avoid.

The evaluation criteria:
Green: Cozy and comfortable, bike path is wide, safe, level
Yellow: Average, cycle path needs improvement
Red: Stressful, bike path is very narrow, not safe
Black: gap, no cycle path, gap in the network, under construction

Route calculation with RadlNavi: Long press on your destination on the map and the route will be calculated. You can hide and show them using the route icon below to see the colors of the route ratings.

Offline map: The map is no longer reloaded every time you start it. If necessary, you can delete the map under "Settings" and load the latest map version.

Street view from the bicycle perspective: Click on a rated route and then on the preview image. Mapillary Street View launches.

With the MunichWays app you can find the bike route in Munich that suits you, depending on the time of day, weather and mood. Our bike app shows you the possibilities. If you don't know your way around Munich at all, we also recommend navigating while driving with voice navigation such as from komoot.

Our group “RadlVorrangNetz” is part of the “Mobility and Transport Transition” group at Green City e.V.. Together with the ADFC Munich and numerous committed citizens, we systematically evaluated Munich's routes and developed the RadlVorrangNetz.
