Munch Metrics is a calorie counter, macro tracker and barcode scanner that does one thing differently: it shows you the range instead of a made-up number.

Estimating a meal from a photo is never exact — not here, not anywhere. Published error rates for photo-based food estimation sit around 20–30% for a mixed plate. So instead of hiding that behind a tidy figure, Munch Metrics shows you the uncertainty and puts your weekly trend front and centre, where the signal actually is.

Photo, barcode, or manual logging
Photograph a meal, scan a barcode, or type it in. Scan several things one after another and review the whole meal once at the end.

Calories and macros, with the margin shown
Track protein, carbs and fat against your daily goal — each estimate carries its error bar, so you know when a number is worth a second look.

Portions in the units you think in
"2 bars", not "60 grams" — where a pack states a serving, that's what you tap.

It remembers
Correct your porridge to 150 g once and that's your usual portion. Correct the calories on a homemade meal and it stays corrected.

See when you actually eat
Your usual eating window and how the day's energy splits across breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks — descriptions, not scores.

Built to be put down
No streaks. No scolding. Nothing turns red because a number went over. Being above or below your target looks exactly the same, because one day is not a verdict. You can hide the numbers entirely and keep the log.

Free forever
Manual logging, your weekly trend, your daily goal, full history, eating patterns and data export are free and always will be. Scanning is the paid part, because it costs us money per photo.

Your data stays yours
No analytics SDK. No advertising IDs. No data brokers. Meal photos are deleted as soon as they've been read. Export everything as CSV or JSON whenever you like, and delete your account and all of it from inside the app.
