Overview

Features & Capabilities

MTouchpad turns your Android phone into a wireless trackpad for your computer. Connect over Bluetooth and control the cursor from your phone screen — no dongle, no drivers, and nothing to install on the computer.

Your phone registers itself as a standard Bluetooth mouse. To the laptop or desktop it simply is a mouse, which means it works with Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, and anything else that speaks Bluetooth HID.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Move the cursor — slide one finger across the touchpad surface
• Left click — tap, or use the dedicated button
• Right click — two-finger tap, or use the dedicated button
• Drag — press and hold to grab, move to drag, lift to drop
• Scroll — swipe up or down with two fingers
• Adjust speed — pick Slow, Normal, Fast or Very Fast

Cursor movement accelerates with your swipe speed, so short flicks stay precise while a fast swipe crosses the whole screen.

GETTING CONNECTED

1. Pair your phone from the computer's Bluetooth settings — the phone appears as "MTouchpad"
2. Open the app and tap Initialize
3. Tap Connect to Device and pick your computer from the list
4. The status dot turns green — you're ready

The built-in help screen walks through the same steps and includes troubleshooting notes if a host won't connect.

REQUIREMENTS

• Android 9.0 or newer
• A computer that accepts Bluetooth HID input devices

Most laptops and desktops with Bluetooth do. Some USB Bluetooth adapters and some managed work machines refuse HID peripherals over Bluetooth — if yours does, MTouchpad won't be able to connect to it. Please try it before leaving a review, and get in touch if it doesn't work for your setup.

PRIVACY

MTouchpad asks for Bluetooth permissions and nothing else. It has no access to your network, storage, camera, microphone or contacts. On Android 11 and older it also requests location, because older versions of Android require that permission for any app to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices — it is never used to determine where you are.

Nothing is collected, and nothing is uploaded. There are no accounts, no analytics and no ads. Bluetooth addresses are partly masked on screen so your hardware IDs aren't readable over your shoulder.

The app only accepts a connection from the device you picked. Incoming connections from anything else — including automatic reconnect attempts from devices paired in the past — are rejected.

Your screen stays awake while you're connected, so the cursor never freezes mid-sentence.
