Hobgoblin

Hobgoblin is a remote-first development workspace for Android. Connect directly to SSH hosts you choose, organize remote Git projects and worktrees, and keep terminal sessions tied to the right working context.

REMOTE SSH ACCESS

• Save and organize multiple SSH hosts.
• Generate or import SSH identities.
• Review and trust host-key fingerprints explicitly.
• Test SSH, shell, Git, path, and repository access with built-in diagnostics.
• Configure local SSH port forwarding for services running on remote hosts.

PROJECTS AND WORKTREES

• Manually reorder hosts, projects, and worktrees for faster access.

REMOTE TERMINALS

• Open native SSH shell sessions for hosts, projects, and worktrees.
• Create explicit tmux-backed terminals when tmux is available remotely.
• Keep retained terminal records in one dedicated Terminals tab.
• Reconnect disconnected or exited terminals without creating duplicate entries.
• Close an Android terminal connection while allowing its remote tmux session to continue running.
• Use focus mode, adjustable font sizes, light or dark terminal appearance, command input, clipboard actions, and a Termux-style extra-key row.
• Open supported links from terminal output in your browser.

TMUX DISCOVERY

• Scan a selected SSH host for Hobgoblin and default tmux sessions.
• Attach directly to an existing session without replacing it.
• Discover sessions across default and Hobgoblin project-scoped tmux servers.
• Switch hosts directly while browsing discovered sessions.
• Import a discovered tmux directory into the project setup flow.
• Use explicit session lifecycle controls to avoid ending remote sessions unintentionally.

OPTIONAL TERMUX INTEGRATION

Open a remote project or worktree in the separately installed Termux app, or copy the generated SSH command to the Android clipboard. Termux integration only runs
after an explicit user action.

CUSTOMIZATION

Hobgoblin supports system, light, and dark appearance modes with multiple color presets. The native Android interface is available in English, Simplified Chinese,
Japanese, and Korean.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN

Hobgoblin connects your device directly to the SSH server you select. It does not require a Hobgoblin account and has no developer-operated application backend. The
app includes no advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting SDK. Stored SSH private keys are encrypted using a key protected by Android Keystore.

REQUIREMENTS

Hobgoblin Android is designed for remote SSH workflows. You need access to an SSH server. Git and tmux are required only for their related features. The Android app
does not provide an Android-local shell or local Git workspace.
