This project focuses on creating a robust system to monitor biomedical waste management in Maharashtra, spearheaded by the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). Key components include:
Survey and Inventory Creation: Conducting field surveys to develop a detailed inventory of biomedical waste generators, including hospitals, clinics, dispensaries, veterinary centers, and AYUSH facilities. Both bedded and non-bedded healthcare facilities will be geo-tagged using mobile applications for accurate profiling and mapping.
Web-Based Monitoring System: Designing and implementing an intelligent, GIS-integrated web-based analysis and monitoring platform to track healthcare facilities and their biomedical waste management practices effectively
