MovaTale: Learn German Stories

MovaTale is German that sounds like a TV series.

Instead of dry lessons, you follow one story across 60 episodes. Max and Rita have just moved to Heidelberg, and you live their new life with them: the first apartment, work, neighbors, friends. Every sentence is spoken in German and comes with an English translation, so you understand everything from the very first scene, not from lesson twenty.

🎧 Listen
Each scene plays with the current sentence highlighted and a translation under every line. It keeps playing with the screen off, like a podcast: on the bus, on a walk, while you cook.

🗣️ Shadowing
After each scene, its key phrases play again with pauses. Repeat after the characters: aloud, in a whisper or in your head. That's how the rhythm, stress and melody of German settle in. No screen needed here either.

💬 Recall
When you have a few minutes with the screen, you see the English sentence, say it in German, then hear the original and compare. If you like, turn on the speech check: your voice is recognized right on the phone and is never sent anywhere.

In the first episodes, scenes come with illustrations. Tap an object to see its German word with the article and the translation, find the scene's words in the picture, and zoom in on the details.
