Adi Vaani

Adi Vaani is an AI-driven translation platform developed by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs with IIT Delhi, BITS Pilani, IIIT Hyderabad and IIIT Naya Raipur. It enables real-time text and speech translation between Hindi, English and tribal languages such as Santali, Bhili, Mundari and Gondi, with plans to add Kui and Garo. Key features include speech-to-text, text-to-speech, OCR for scanned documents, and direct access to NCERT books and government scheme information in native languages.

Designed to preserve oral traditions and improve inclusive governance, Adi Vaani supports education, healthcare advisories and public service delivery in remote tribal areas. The app aligns with Digital India and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat initiatives, empowering communities by bridging language barriers and promoting cultural continuity.
