Voice Notes: Speech to Text

Turn spoken thoughts into editable, searchable notes while you talk. Voice Notes records locally, shows live speech-to-text on your device, and keeps each recording with its transcript. No Mosh account is required.

RECORD AND TRANSCRIBE
• See words appear while you speak.
• Record up to 30 minutes per note. Longer sessions continue automatically in a new note.
• Play the audio and review the transcript together.

EDIT, FIND, AND SHARE
• Edit the cleaned text or switch back to the original transcript.
• Search voice notes by title or content.
• Copy text or share a recording when you need it.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
• Recording and transcription run on your device after Google Play delivers the speech model.
• The first transcription requires an additional model download. Once installed, on-device speech-to-text works offline.
• Audio, transcripts, and notes stay in private app storage unless you choose sharing, AI enhancement, or sync.

OPTIONAL AI ENHANCEMENT
Bring your own API Key for OpenRouter, Google Gemini, or OpenAI when you want cloud transcription, cleaner text, titles, or summaries. Requests go directly from your device to the Provider you select; Mosh does not proxy or store your recording or Key. Provider terms, limits, and charges apply.

OPTIONAL ONE-WAY SYNC
Export Markdown notes—and optionally one recording—to an Obsidian vault folder or S3-compatible bucket. Local updates can replace exported files, but remote edits are not imported. Deleting a local note or disconnecting sync does not delete remote files.

NO ACCOUNT OR SUBSCRIPTION
Voice Notes requires no Mosh account and has no subscription in this release. Your chosen AI or storage Provider may charge separately.

ADS AND PRIVACY CONTROLS
The Notes screen may show one Google AdMob banner. Google UMP handles advertising choices where required. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are enabled by default in the Google Play build and can be turned off in Settings. Audio, transcripts, notes, API Keys, prompts, and preferred terms are not sent to analytics or advertising services.
