Flashometer

This app helps to calculate the distance from a flash using the difference between the speed of light and the speed of sound.

The app does not require internet connectivity and does not request or use any device permissions.

The tool can be helpful in warzones, to calculate an approximate distance to military activity. Also, it can be used to calculate distance to an eye of a thunderstorm.

How to use:

When seeing a flash, tap anywhere on the screen to start the timer.

Wait for the sound to arrive.

Tap anywhere on the screen again to stop the timer. An approximate distance to the flash will be calculated.

Note: you can also use any volume control buttons to start/stop the timer.
