Dales Divide

The Dales Divide, is a round trip bike-packing track across the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors. Arnside - Scarborough - Arnside. This app is designed to support you on this adventure. It includes access to the main 600km+ route and the option of a short cut, plus an extensive array of Points Of Interest (POI) locations shown on the map. The POIs indicate clearly where the check points, resupply and other features like camping, bivvying, accommodation, easy to miss junctions.

The map uses a default base map of Open Street Maps.

The whole track, short cut and POIs can all be made visible/invisible.

The app will show your location on the route in real time.

There are a number of options that can be accessed via the Yorkshire flag icon in the bottom left-hand corner. These include:

Event tracking
Save your GPX track
Change the GPS interval
Enter your pass-code

Event tracking: The Dales Divide eveny tracking website can be viewed by clicking on this link. You will be able to see yourself and other registered riders on the website.

Save your GPX track: Option to save the current GPX track. This can be saved to your mobile device at the following location:
Android/data/com.navigation.dalesdivide/files/GPXFiles/ or Adroid/Download/s (depending on your device) with a filename of the date and time in the YYYYMMDDHHMM format e.g. 202403301936.txt

Change the GPS interval: Option to change the GPS sample interval (in minutes) for your GPS to locate you. 10 minutes recommended to save battery usage and record your track.

Enter your pass-code: Option to enter the Unique Identifier (UID) available by registering at the 'app' website. Then your location will be visible on the tracking website.
