Hair loss changes slowly. Modi builds up that record for you.
■ Shooting at the same angle is everything
· Crown, hairline, sides, back — pick an area and get a guide made for it.
· Your first photo is the baseline. After that, the previous photo is overlaid translucently on screen — just line up with it.
· For areas you can't see, like the crown or back, sound, vibration, and voice guide you, and the photo is taken automatically once the angle matches. Or switch to a timer.
· Separate guidance for shooting yourself, having someone else shoot, and left vs. right side.
· Compare with the previous photo right after shooting. Retake, or fine-tune with two fingers.
· Set a schedule per area — by interval (every 3 days) or weekday (every Sunday) — with a reminder on the day.
No need to shoot daily. Once or twice a week is best — daily photos make change hard to see.
■ Four ways to see change
· All photos — every shot in a grid by area, at a glance.
· Flip through — swipe through photos in time order.
· Side by side — pick two dates and view them left and right.
· Video — stitch the whole period or a chosen range into a short timelapse.
What happened between photos is shown too — "a hair transplant happened between these," "started minoxidil between these." If lighting differs a lot from the previous photo, it lets you know.
■ Because photos alone aren't enough
· Medication check-ins — pick finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, biotin and more, or add your own. Check off by time of day and see days since start (D+14). Stop/restart history is kept.
· Procedure records — hair transplant, SMP, mesotherapy, PRP, laser and more, with progress afterward.
· Daily log — hairs shed, scalp condition (good, redness, itchy, oily, flaky), activities (drinking, lack of sleep, exercise, stress), notes. Add your own items.
· Calendar — recorded and photo days at a glance; tap a date to see that day.
· Summary — days recorded, medication check rate, photo count, hair-fall trend, scalp & activity charts by period.
· PDF report — comparison photos, medication history, procedures, and trends in one document for the clinic. Notes excluded by default; you choose items and period.
■ Photos never leave your device
This is what we cared about most.
· No sign-up, no login. No name, email, or phone number.
· Photos and records stay in the app's internal storage, never sent to a server. Internet is used only to verify subscription payment.
· Photos don't appear in your phone's gallery.
· No ads, no analytics, no crash-collection tools.
· App lock (fingerprint or PIN), hidden recent-apps preview, hidden medication names in notifications.
· Android auto cloud backup is off so nothing is copied without consent.
So back up yourself: [Export data] bundles everything into one file; [Import data] restores it — also for switching phones. Free.
