Site Monitor - Uptime Tracker

Is your website or API actually online right now? Turn a spare Android phone or tablet into a dedicated uptime monitor that checks for you, with no server and no account.

HOW IT WORKS

Site Monitor sends periodic GET requests to the websites and APIs you choose, then records response time, HTTP status, and success or failure for every single check. Monitoring, recording, and charting all happen on your device. Nothing is sent to us, and there are no ads and no subscription.

MAIN FEATURES

• Uptime monitoring for any URL via periodic GET requests
• Response time recording, down to the millisecond
• HTTP status code recording, checked against your expected status
• Timeout detection
• Automatic uptime percentage and downtime calculation
• Average, fastest, and slowest response time
• Automatic incident detection when a site goes down, and when it recovers
• Response time graphs (1 hour, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days)
• History screen with per-site and per-status (success / failed / timeout) filters
• Add, edit, delete, and enable or disable monitors anytime
• Check interval from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, with configurable timeout and expected HTTP status code
• Notifications when a site goes DOWN and when it has RECOVERED
• Continuous monitoring that runs as a foreground service with an ongoing notification, recommended for a dedicated device
• Optional background periodic check (about every 15 minutes or more) while the app is closed
• Keep the screen on while the dashboard or a monitor is shown
• CSV export of your logs through the Android share sheet
• Log retention settings (7, 30, or 90 days, or forever) with automatic cleanup
• Light, dark, and system appearance
• English and Japanese
• Layouts for phones and tablets, with a two-pane view on larger screens

WHO IT'S FOR

• Independent developers who want uptime monitoring without a monthly subscription
• Anyone running a personal site, blog, or small API who wants peace of mind
• Solo operators and small teams keeping an eye on a service without enterprise tooling
• Anyone with a spare Android phone or tablet looking for a useful second life for it

GOOD TO KNOW

• Continuous monitoring checks at each monitor's interval while its notification is shown. Keep the device powered on and connected for the most reliable results.
• The background periodic check is best-effort. Android may delay it (for example in Doze or battery saver), so it cannot replace continuous monitoring.

PRIVACY

Site Monitor has no ads, no account, and no analytics. Your monitors, check results, and incidents are stored only on your device. Other than contacting the URLs you add for monitoring, the app never sends your data to an external server. CSV files are created only when you export them, and are shared only through the app you choose.

Stop wondering if your site is still up. Download Site Monitor and put a spare device to work watching it for you.

Requires Android 8.0 or later.
