User Reviews

FastNEWS is praised for its user-friendly layout, diverse and customizable news topics, timely updates, and engaging photos. Many users appreciate it as a reliable daily news source that is less intrusive than other apps. However, common issues include frequent notifications, the app auto-opening upon unlocking the phone, a slideshow-style article presentation that requires extra clicks, and concerns about ads potentially causing telemarketing calls. Overall, users find it informative and enjoyable, though some interface and notification aspects could be improved.

Pros

Practical and straightforward layout with an easy to navigate design.
Offers a wide variety of news topics, including local, national, world, science, gaming, and entertainment.
App provides timely, factual news updates and caters to users' interests by allowing customization of news categories and notification times.
Features high-quality photos and an engaging mix of articles that keep users informed and entertained.
Less intrusive compared to other news apps, with control over notifications and news order.

Cons

Sometimes the app opens automatically on phone unlock, causing annoyance especially while driving.
Contains too many notifications which can be disruptive to users.
Certain articles are presented in a slideshow format requiring multiple clicks, which some find tedious.
Advertisements within the app may lead to unwanted telemarketing calls and can distract from news content.
Occasional repetitive or depressing articles noted by users.

Recent reviews

The overall layout is practical and straightforward, the format is my favorite (compared to other similar apps), convenient design makes it easy to navigate, topics vary and are plentiful as well as informative, wide variety of subjects I personally find the range of subject and optional choices appealing, knowledgeable and entertaining as well as a valuable source of daily input.

Love getting local and national news everyday. I do not watch the actual news so this is the best way. The only thing I'm not fond of is all the notifications I get. That is kind of annoying. Especially when I'm in the middle of something else.
