History Seeker: History & Maps

History Seeker is a modern mapping app built for explorers, archaeologists, and metal-detector users. It combines worldwide topographic maps, orthophoto imagery (Poland, USA), and high-precision LIDAR (Poland, Germany, UK, USA) with support for unique Polish layers like BDTO10k and forest maps. Add custom WMS sources, overlay your own images, draw search polygons, and preload maps for offline use.

Record GPS tracks in the field, log finds with photos, descriptions, dates and categories (finds stored locally for privacy), and receive POI and area entry/exit notifications. Sign in with Google to sync tracks via Firebase. Active development continues with a roadmap that includes extended WMS compatibility and full offline map downloads. Ideal for field research, treasure hunting, historical exploration, and outdoor mapping.
