TypingTalk AAC Text-to-Speech is an easy-to-use app that lets you type your thoughts and hear them spoken as text-to-speech audio. Built for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), it offers a wide range of voices and languages from your device's TTS engine, with both offline and online options. You can save your favorite voice settings for quick access.

It also provides powerful phrase boards: save and categorize quick phrases, group them per language, add pictures or emoji labels, and display text with pictures. You can back up or share phrase boards, sync across devices with Google Drive, and print boards for low-tech use. Other features include a home screen widget, per-word or per-sentence speech as you type, customizable layout (font, field and button sizes), light/dark modes, and a history of played messages. This tool is designed to help anyone who needs support speaking, including people with verbal apraxia, aphasia, autism, anxiety, and selective mutism, among others.
