User Reviews

Users praise MintAI for its effective photo enhancement, fast and consistent processing, and useful features like colorizing and scratch removal. The free version is well-regarded with minimal watermark and simple interface. However, many users report excessive mandatory ads, recent bugs causing freezing or failure to process images, saving issues, and lack of developer responsiveness. Several complain the app sometimes opens blank or black and that its built-in file manager is inadequate for easy image selection.

Pros

Effective photo enhancement with clear, defined details rather than just smoothing.
Fast and consistent processing servers compared to many other photo enhancer apps.
Useful features like colorizing, scratch remover, restoring old photos, and a cartoon effect.
Free version offers good quality enhancements with only faint, unobtrusive watermark.
App interface is simple and convenient for users, suitable for both basic and advanced photo enhancement needs.

Cons

Frequent excessive ads that must be watched before each photo is processed, leading to frustration.
Recent bugs causing the app to freeze or stay stuck during photo processing after ad watching.
Issues saving enhanced photos or inability to convert images after updates, with lack of developer support or fixes.
App often opens to a blank or black screen, failing to load enhancement options.
File manager is limited, lacking search or sorting features making image selection difficult.

Recent reviews

Used work reasonably well. It stopped working over the last few months. Even after watching a full 60 seconds of ads, it gets stuck at 2/3 of the processing and nothing happens after that. It worked on my Galaxy S24 Ultra. I have tried all tricks like deletining cache, disabling and renabling, deleting altogether and fresh reinstall. Nothing worked. It is a shame, as the app was quite good for basic users. Also Installed on my Poco phone.. It didnt even open prooerly!

Tried again a year and a half later, and still the same issue. ------- After watching the ad for 30 seconds, it remains as "processing" the image. Checked back hours later and still "processing". Pointless exercise.
