BestBy

BestBy keeps track of what is in your kitchen and when it runs out, so you find out before the food is wasted rather than after.

SCAN IT IN
Point your camera at a barcode and the product name and picture fill themselves in. No barcode, or a product nobody has catalogued yet? Add it by hand in a few seconds, with your own photo if you want one.

KNOW WHAT TO EAT FIRST
Give each item a best-before date. Anything close to running out is marked clearly, and a reminder arrives before the date passes — not on the morning you open the fridge and find it too late.

SHARE A KITCHEN
Invite the people you live with. Everyone sees the same shelf, so the milk is not bought twice and the yoghurt at the back is not forgotten. You can keep several kitchens: one at home, one at a summer place, one for work.

RECIPES FROM WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE
Ask for recipe ideas built from the things closest to expiring. It is usually the shortest route between a full fridge and an empty bin.

WORKS IN YOUR LANGUAGE
English, Estonian, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian and Ukrainian — including the expiry reminders.

FREE AND PRO
The free plan gives you one kitchen holding up to 50 products, and a few AI recipe suggestions to try. You can join kitchens other people share with you.

BestBy Pro adds up to five kitchens of your own, lets you invite other people to them, and includes a batch of recipe suggestions every month. The price and any trial are shown in the app before you buy, in your own currency. You cancel from your Google Play account settings at any time.

If a subscription ends, nothing you added is deleted. Your kitchens stay, and you choose which one remains fully usable on the free plan.

YOUR DATA
Expiry dates and product information come partly from you and partly from public product data, and can be wrong or incomplete — BestBy is an aid, so check products yourself before eating them.

You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app. Crash reporting can be switched off in settings. The full privacy policy is at bestby.mysite.ee/privacy.
