User Reviews

Users frequently report major issues with the MindEdge Android app, including inability to login properly when accessed via WGU app, and content like videos and tests not loading inside the app. Many describe frustrating navigation loops, crashes, and white screens. Although some appreciate the audio reading feature, the computer-generated voice is hard to follow. The app lacks dark mode and cross-device sync. Overall, users often prefer using the browser version due to these persistent problems impacting usability and learning experience.
Pros
  • The app allows listening to lessons while reading, which helps reinforce information.
  • It enables offline access to downloaded course materials when it works properly.
  • The app gets the job done for some basic course navigation and content access.
  • It supports both phone and tablet devices.
  • There is a potential for battery savings if dark mode is implemented due to OLED/AMOLED screens.
Cons
  • Persistent login and authentication issues, especially with credentials and linking from WGU app, forcing users to resort to browser access.
  • Course materials, videos, transcripts, and tests often fail to load properly or only accessible via web browser, not within the app.
  • Poor user experience due to navigation issues such as endless loops, crashes, white screens, and the app not retaining scroll position after submitting answers.
  • App lacks features like dark mode and does not sync reading/listening positions across devices.
  • Text-to-speech is computer-generated and difficult to understand, reducing usability of audio lessons.
Recent reviews
It doesn't populate the games, reviews, flashcards, and tests. All I see is the content. Which is fine, but I'm not feeling like I'm getting a well-rounded experience. This is an issue I'm having on both my Android phone and on my Android tablet.

What ridiculous trash. The content is somehow less responsive when running in this app, the browser works better. The exercises are still too wide either way. Just admit that you don't support mobile.
