MindCows

MindCows is a real-time multiplayer game designed to challenge your mind through an exciting number guessing competition. Developed with Flutter and powered by Supabase, this game not only offers a smooth and fast experience on multiple platforms, but also benefits from a robust infrastructure that ensures real-time performance and efficient data management. MindCows was created for the 2024 Launch Week 12 Supabase Hackathon, as an innovative project focused on interaction between players in real time, taking advantage of multiple advanced features of Supabase.

Game concept

In MindCows, players compete to guess the exact numbers their opponent has chosen in different positions. It is a game of strategy, logic and memory, where each turn counts to try to deduce the correct combinations before the other player. Each player must do their best to guess the entire sequence of numbers as quickly as possible, all while the system manages turns and the flow of the game in real time.

Rules of the game

1. Objective of the game: Players must guess a combination of numbers previously selected by their opponent. The objective is to discover the complete sequence before the other player.
2. Alternate turns: Each player makes one attempt per turn to guess the sequence of numbers. After each attempt, the turn passes to the opponent.
3. Visual Feedback: After each attempt, the player receives feedback in the form of clues indicating how many numbers have been correctly guessed and whether they are in the correct position.
4. Clues:
• A “cow (V)” clue indicates that the number is correct but is in the wrong position.
• A “torus (T)” clue indicates that both the number and position are correct.
5. End of the game: The game ends when one of the players guesses the complete sequence of numbers correctly (4T), winning the game.
6.Time limit: If a player does not make an attempt within the time allowed for his turn, the system can automatically pass the turn to the opponent.
7. Global ranking: Players compete to rise in the global rankings, accumulating points based on their performance in games.
