VELP

VELP is an app for cyclists that helps you find help faster when your bike breaks down.

Have a flat tire, are missing a pump or tools, or need support in the field? VELP lets you submit a request on the map and connect with nearby people who can help.

The app combines two types of assistance:

• Community support – free support from other cyclists,
• Mobile bike service – paid assistance from a service technician who can travel to your location.

Location on the map allows you to quickly see who is nearby and who can respond to your request. After accepting the request, you can use the in-app chat and track the status of your assistance.

VELP is especially useful for daily commutes, training sessions, bike rides, and longer rides when a breakdown could interrupt your ride far from home or a repair shop.

Key Features:

• Report a bike breakdown on the map,
• Select the type of problem, e.g., inner tube, chain, pump, tools, brakes, derailleur, or other issue,
• Free community support from nearby cyclists,
• Ability to call a mobile technician,
• Chat after accepting a request,
• Report status and support history,
• "I Can Help" mode for those who want to support other cyclists,
• Locate reports and available support people on the map.

VELP was created to help cyclists feel more confident on the road. Whether you're commuting to work, training, or on a longer ride, you can find support faster if you have a problem.

The app is being developed in stages. Initially, we're focusing on building a community of cyclists and testing support in selected locations.
