Simple Expense Book is a lightweight expense tracker for people who just want to write down what they spent. Type the amount, tap income or expense, pick a category, save — about three seconds per entry.

No permissions, no account, no network
Simple Expense Book requests zero Android permissions. No storage, no location, no contacts, not even notifications. There is no sign-up and no bank linking, and the app works with mobile data turned off. Everything you enter is stored in a database on your phone and never reaches a server of ours, which is exactly why nothing is asked of you at install time. With no account there is no cloud sync between devices either. What you do have is Android's own automatic backup: it is left switched on for this app, so if you use device backup, your records can be included in the backup Android makes to your own Google account and come back when you set up a new phone or reinstall. That is an operating-system feature you control in Android's settings, not a service this app runs. For a copy you can open and keep yourself, use CSV export.

CSV export copies your transactions to the clipboard in spreadsheet format (date, kind, category, amount, memo) and shows you a preview first, so you can paste them straight into a spreadsheet, a note, or an email.
