User Reviews

Reviews praise Wordament as a fun, challenging word puzzle with lots of content and travel-friendly play, plus educational benefits. However, recurring issues—intrusive ads, frequent data loss and login problems, an unhideable hints button, and inconsistent word validation—significantly hamper the experience. Some levels feel unreasonably hard. Overall, it’s rewarding when functioning smoothly, but these ongoing problems undermine the app.

Large amount of content: near endless adventure levels plus daily challenges.
Great for travel and passing time during commutes.
Educational and cognitively stimulating; helps learn new words.

Cons

Ads: intrusive banners and ad loops; disruptive and hard to disable.
Data loss and login issues: progress resets, sign-in failures, occasional data wipes.
Hints button is annoying; cannot hide or disable.
Dictionary/word validation inconsistencies: valid words rejected or invalid words accepted.
Some levels are overly hard or unbalanced (improperly labeled 'expert' levels).

Recent reviews

Not content with breaking something in Windows 11 with nearly every update, Microsoft's now broken this. Since the last couple of updates it's been constantly saying I've been disconnected from wordament and would take several retries to load. But now it won't load at all. Just remains on the splash screen saying loading, never syncs my data with the cloud. I've tried clearing the data and reinstalled it, but it just won't load any more. Stop concentrating on your AI slop Microsoft.

I played daily for about a week, the adverts are a bit too frequent but my main issue was with the words that the game scores. They just aren't words! Not sure who, or what, is deciding which words are acceptable but they don't exist in the English language.
