Features & Capabilities

Sync is a personal file sync app that lets you sync, backup and restore files between local, external (USB) and popular cloud drives like Amazon S3, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and OneDrive. Tasks group one or more local sources and a target drive so you can run Full Sync, Backup, Restore, Backup Sync or Restore Sync operations. A built‑in file manager lets you browse, upload, download, rename and delete files directly on any added drive.

Sync also includes a lightweight web server for sharing local files over Wi‑Fi with selectable folders, index.html support and partial content serving. Start free with any drive (ads, usage limits). Additional drives, Local/External drive support and extra features can be unlocked via in‑app purchases. Note: drives are added manually; automatic/background sync and network drives are not yet supported.

User Reviews

Reviewers generally find the app easy to use and useful, but most complaints focus on its business model: essential sync/cloud features are locked behind payment and trials are too short or missing, so many users can’t evaluate it and prefer free alternatives.

Pros

Easy to use — multiple reviewers called it easy and generally useful
Positive overall impressions — several short reviews said it was “great” or “very useful”
Appears to offer comprehensive backup functionality (users noted it can perform full backups)

Cons

Core features are behind a paywall — many users complained you must pay to use syncing or connect cloud/local drives
Trials are too short or absent, preventing users from evaluating the app before paying
Users object to paying for functionality they expect to be free (many compared it unfavorably to free alternatives)
