2024-05-22	Jo*****	Was working but now terrible!! Impossible to recover password as there is simply no 'forgot password' option to click on! (it says to click on this!) Customer support is virtually non-existent. Can't purchase anymore films as can't reset password. Now the whole app. has just frozen up on me and all I see is a black screen with the Chili logo in the middle. Totally useless, can't do anything with it, so uninstalling this rubbish. Thanks for wasting my money on the films I have already purchased!!

2023-04-24	Em*****	App should be user funcitionality tested with more attention. On Samsungs s10 lite and Galaxy s22 Ultra, when clicking How To Watch, it takes to Chili log in page that doesn't accept typed in log in details, and it doesn't accept saved details auto-fill. Cast To Screen symbol only connects to a display if the app has notifications enabled. Without, just spins on trying to connect. I also installed on newest 4k Chromecast and it doesn't play movies purchased/rented. Only via smartphone app Cast.

2023-01-05	Wh*****	Omg this is so lame, I have got a code from Vodafone and thought will try it out since its "free" I have created an account on lame "chili" and was "surprised" by the movie selection, so picked up one idiotic Christmas movie and watched 20 minutes of it and the errors started to occur, so couldn't finish, using the app there is no way cast to the TV, on the TV you have to use built in web browser to access the website, all the trouble for nothing, mediocre content that can be found anywhere.

2022-06-20	Pa*****	Downloaded the app as I had a choice from Vodafone for any film rental for £1. Once the code was input, I was presented with a limited list of films to which the promotion applied. The advert by Chili states "skip the cinema and watch a movie at home, with new and old movies" giving the impression that new movies were included. I think the newest on the list was Jurassic Park 3. I appreciate the reply, however I can't help but feel it was click bait style promo to get you to download.

I first tried on the website, that has that option, but couldn't make it work (I read another review with this same problem, you guys definitely have a bug to fix there) and I thought the app would surely have it and would be smoother to use, but no! Uninstalling it now. 😩

One major difference: Chili offers almost all content also with original audio unlike many other streaming services (Google, Rakuten etc.). Furthermore, I actually like that you cannot rent or purchase from the app but the website only because you don't risk getting charged when you share your tablet or smart TV with friends and family. Picture quality is quite decent and I didn't run into any technical difficulties whatsoever.

Why, when they can't be watched?) However, I'm giving it 4 stars because their customer support is excellent. When I emailed them to say the film I'd rented wouldn't play, they quickly gave me a code to rent an alternative instead. EDIT: I've increased my rating to 5* as, after an update this app does now support subtitled foreign language films.

Changing time position in playback is very basic. Our of 4 titles I've watched, non had closed captions. The free code is for one rental but the vast majority of movies aren't available for rental, you can't see that until you have signed up though. I picked the one from the rental section I was most interested in (like trying to pick a poo up by the clean end) and then realised I couldn't cast it to the TV anyway. So even when it's free you can't really use it. Off to "apps owned but not installed" you go!
