Learn to Read Tamil in 32 Hours. Tamil is one of the classical languages of the World. Approximately 90 Million people speak Tamil as their mother tongue.

Tamil is a phonetic language and has 12 vowels (Uyir) and 18 consonants (Mei). Compound form of the vowels and consonants is UyirMei which has 216 alphabets. Ayutha alphabet 1. Total 247 alphabets and Grantha alphabets were not included in this app.

Each alphabet and words used in this app has an audio pronunciation to listen and practice themselves. It also has animated GIFs for each of the Tamil alphabets.

Wonderful app, this is the only app I guess serves the actual purpose of reading as well as writing habit for kids. Really helped teaching my kid. As stated by some user , it's not written as in alphabetical order. Bcoz that's the teaching mechanism. In English phonetics, they first start teaching s, a ,t ,p,i,n - letters and their sounds. So no doubt it's a excellent app. I am writing this bcoz i searched so many many, but this is the best amongst all. Thanks a ton to the developer

Overrated app. Alphabets are not orderly placet on home page and instructions are not clear. Good for school children and not recommended for enthusiastic learner. Flow of information is not so cool. Still the app really was out of a good effort and I wish the owner makes it user friendly so that we(non-tamilians) can learn reading and writing with less burden.

It is good app and organization but a few issues for self learning. 1. There is not tamil pronunciation in English for words so I cannot know if I am saying it right. 2. Order of alphabets and index are out of order. I would have given 5 start if they had these two. I am looking for another app now.
