ForDil

The ForDiL app is your pocketcoach to exploring continuous cover forestry (CCF).

You can train right in the forest on 3 existing sites “marteloscopes”:
• At the « Bois de Lauzelle », Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
• At the « Forêt de Mormal », Mormal, France
• At the « Pokojna », Forests of Mendel University, Czech Republic

Working with the app allows you to:
• complete a progressive tutorial to understand the main principles of the CCF approach;
• simulate tree cutting and accompanied by accurate, evaluated and explained results;
• simulate and evaluate silvicultural work on natural regeneration;
• obtain pedagogical explanations throughout the exercises;
• download and share your results.

The app is designed for students, teachers and forestry professionals. It supports learners – beginners and experts – throughout their training, promoting autonomous, progressive and interactive learning.
